Art from the Heart's mission is to showcase art by vulnerable and underrepresented populations. By creating this space we hope to: foster a creative outlet and form of empowerment for those whose visions are often unvoiced, create a venue where the Philadelphia community can learn and receive inspiration from the population’s distinct perspective and promote the work and opportunities made available by nonprofit agencies and other facilities that assist in the community.
In collaboration with the Magic Garden's Arts on South program, Art from the Heart will be showcasing works by members of the Project H.O.M.E, Overbrook School for the Blind, ActionAIDS, and Warrior Writers community. The arts has always been a great leveler in our world, this space is one step in deconstructing the walls that often separate us.
